Warm Weather...Finally!

We had really nice weather this weekend, almost too warm for Spring.  It was very summer-ish, and warm.  Norah and I took a few walks on Saturday and Sunday.  We walked about 4.5 miles just today.  The morning was perfect weather, in the 60s and by the afternoon it was very warm, upper 70s I think.  Norah rode in the stroller and would point and call out to whatever we saw along the way whether it be a child, an animal, a yard flag, a toy/bicycle, etc.  She got to hang out in the stroller and eat her snacks, shaded from the sun, and then ran around a bit too.  It was nice to get outside!

Peekaboo Barn

We periodically let Norah play this game called Peekaboo Barn on the iPad.  You can see how it works in the video below, but basically she taps the barn door which opens to reveal an animal.  At the end of the game when the barn door opens for the last time all of the animals are standing there.  That is her favorite part, and we've tried to catch her reaction on video before, but this is the best one yet.

Coloring

Norah's new favorite thing is to color.  We did try to give her markers, but she got a lot of marker on herself so we reverted back to crayons for now.  She is pretty good about only coloring on the paper, though I have caught her trying to color on herself and a couple other surfaces.  Luckily, it's just crayon and you can't see crayon on the carpet!

House Hunting in Minneapolis

We took a trip to Minneapolis last week to find a house!  Norah and I flew by ourselves and Rick joined us later for the weekend.  Norah and I had the entire row to ourselves on the plane to Minneapolis which worked out great.  Norah was quite a trooper looking at houses Thursday and Friday with me.  We saw a total of 17 houses in the two days.  Rick flew in Friday night, and Norah got to stay at Auntie Roxy's all day Saturday playing while we went back to look at more houses.  Saturday evening we drove out to Cushing to meet Rory for the first time.  The kids got to "play" together for a little bit before everyone split and kids were going down for the night.  We wrapped up the house hunt on Sunday with a final look at our top choices, and then headed home.  It was a busy trip between house hunting and visiting with friends.  Here are a few pics from the trip.
